I am a 20 year old recovering Heroin Addict who would like to share my experience with people in need of assistance or guidance. I want to try and help addicts to overcome their addiction and help parents and family members with advice on how to handle an Addict, no matter what their addiction is. I will assist with what signs to look for, taking the first step to recovery and dealing with cravings, causes of relapse, staying clean and integration back into society

Introduction to my life on Drugs

I started this blog not to only help myself but to help other addicts, or even parents to help their children to do what they think is impossible. My blog will give you inside information that you cant find on any other drug website you look up.

I am a recovering heroin addict, i have been using for 6 years. I have been through it all and done the worst things that could be done, so my advice could help more than you think. Medication is really expensive. If you have the money, the medication helps a lot with the cold turkey but if you can't it's going to be harder -  but it's possible. I did it without the medication.  You probably know sleeping tablets and all that does not really work and if you are a heroin addict you would know if you don't use heroin you will be awake, in pain, irritated and very sick for a few days. So prepare yourself. Just remember it's all in your hands. YOU must want to come clean for yourself. Parents, if you are trying to help your loved ones, be open, honest and be prepared -  it's a long and emotional process.
If you go to the following page, i have written a short summary of my experience in my active addiction. It just tells you about some of the things most addicts go through in there addiction but trust me it gets much worse. If you want to know more or ask any questions my details are on my profile page or contact me send me a message on Facebook - I will respond to all comments and messages.
